GREGORIAN CALENDAR: MARCH~APRIL

Festival of unleavened bread.
Passover, 15th day commemorates deliverence from Egypt 2nd anniversary.
14th day- Fast of the first borns before passover Day, which us at
Sunset. Leviticus 23:5


2. IYAR (29 DAYS) SEASON; SPRING
GREGORIAN CALENDER: APRIL~MAY

Iyar maens "blossom".
On 5th,The day Ben Gurion, Israels first prime minister declared
Israel as a state.


5th, Independence day.
Before Babylonian exile, the month is called Ziv meaning "light" or "glow"

destruction by Nebuchadnezar .

Independence.

following the theft of silver from the holy temple.

20th....Children of Israel departed their encarpmenr near Mt. Sinai

26th...Six day war begins

28th...Jerusalem conquered during the six day war "Jerusalem Day"

28th....Death of Samuel the prophet,marked Pigliramages to his tomb of
the outskirts of Jerusalem.



3. SIVAN (30 DAYS) SEASON; SPRING
GREGORIAN CALENDER : MAY~JUNE

Shavout, Festival of weeks.
Marks the day the Torah was given to the Jewish people at Mt. Sinai.

1st....The waters of the Great Flood begin to recede Genesis 8:3.


4.TAMUZ (30 DAYS) SEASON; SUMMER
GREGORIAN CALENDER: JUNE~JULY

Its the month of the sin of the golden calf , which resulted in Moses
breaking the ten commandments .
The name of the month was adapted from the Zodiac sign aptly named
Tamuz "hebrew" in English "cancer".

3rd...Joshua stops the sun
5th....Ezekiel receives his chariot vision Ezekiel 1:4~26.

9th....Jerusalem walls breached by king Nebuchadnezar, a day observed
as a fast day untill the second breaching of Jerusalem's walls by the
Romans on 17th of Tammuz

17th...Golden calf offered by the Jewish people , 40 days after the
giving of the Torah at Mt. Sinai.
The tablets are smashed by Moses.
In 586 BCE the daily sacrifieces at the temple were discontinued.
On 70 CE the walls if Jerusalem breached by Rome.
The Roman generall Apostomus burned the Torah and placed an idol in
the Holy temple.



5. MENACHEM AV (30 DAYS) SEASON; SUMMER.
GREGORIAN CALENDER: JULY~AUGUST

The month when the Holy Temple was set aflame .
Its the only month not mentioned in the bible.
The month is also known as Menachem Av Hebrew ( comforter of fathers).

1st....Ezrah and his followers arrive in Israel .
7th......first temple invaded by Nebuchadnezar.
9th......Holy temple destroyed by the Babylonians and Romans 70 CE



6.ELUL (29 DAYS) SEASON :SUMMER
GREGORIAN CALENDER; AUGUST~SEPTEMBER.

The name was brought from the Babylonian exile and originated from the
Akadian word for "harvest"

In Jewish history, Elul is a time of repentance in preparation of the
Hihg Holy Days Rosh Hashanah and Yom Kippur.

1st.....Moses ascends Sinai for 3rd of the 40 days.
1st......Prophet Hagai commands the rebuilding of the second temple continue.

5th.....Ezekiel has a priphecy of the destruction of the first temple.

The second Holist month of the Jewish calender.

set of tablets and a message of forgiveness for the Golden calf.

GREGORIAN CALENDER; OCTOBER-NOVEMBER.

The month of the Great Flood.

Chesvan in hebrew means "bitter", the month has no holidays or fast.

In hebrew bible, before babylonian exile reffers to the month as Bul
1st Kings 6:38.

10th.......Noah and his family enter the Ark.
11th........Death of Rachel while delivering Benjamin.
17th.......The Great flood begins.
17th.......First temple completed by king Solomon.




9. KISLEV (30 DAYS SOMETIMES 29)
SEASON ; AUTUM
GREGORIAN CALENDER: NOVEMBER-DECEMBER.

THe month of Dreams.

The festival of lights (chanukah)

The name is derived from the Hebrew root K~S.L as in the words
"kessel", "kislah" (hope, positiveness) or "kissil"(orion) a
constellation that shines especially in this month,, because of the
expectation and hope of rain.

HOLIDAYS

14th.......Birth of Jacob's son Reuben.
15th......Greeks set up the Abomination of the desolation in the temple.
20th........Ezra addresses the congregation , a 3 day assembly of Jews
in Jerusalem telling them to adhere to the Torah and dissolve
intermariage with foreigners.
25th........Greeks make Pagan sacrifieses in the temple
25th..........the Hanukah miracle.
27th.............Floods ceases according to Genesis 6:8.

Its the month which Esther was crowned Queen of Persia.
