The Kurds are one of the indigenous people of the Mesopotamian plains and the highlands in what are now south-eastern Turkey, north-eastern Syria, northern Iraq, north-western Iran and south-western Armenia. They are in different religions although the majority are Sunni Muslims.They have since been on the forefront to fight the ISIS in Syria. With news that,the IS are loosing ground to the Kurdish forces.
Over years since 20th Century,they have struggled and fought to establish their own independent state "Kurdistan" in vain, indulging them into brutality and cruelity.
