WHOM DO YOU CONSULT WHEN IN CRISIS?

Consulting The Lord Through Prayer.

2Kings 1:1  Moab rebelled against Israel after the death of Ahab.
2 Now Ahaziah fell through the lattice of his upper room in Samaria, and was injured; so he sent messengers and said to them, "Go, inquire of Baal-Zebub, the god of Ekron, whether I shall recover from this injury."
3 But the angel of the LORD said to Elijah the Tishbite, "Arise, go up to meet the messengers of the king of Samaria, and say to them, 'IS IT BECAUSE THERE IS NO GOD in Israel that YOU ARE GOING TO INQUIRE OF BAAL- ZEBUB , the god of Ekron?'

4 "Now therefore, thus says the LORD: 'You shall not come down from the bed to which you have gone up, but you shall surely die.' "So Elijah departed.

2Kings 1:17
So Ahaziah died according to the word of the LORD which Elijah had spoken. Because he had no son, Jehoram became king in his place, in the second year of Jehoram the son of Jehoshaphat, king of Judah.

The scriptures tell us the story of Ahazia the King of Judah.
King Ahazia fell through the lattice of his roof and injured himself,but after that, he wanted to inquire from Baal about his fate than inquiring from God through praying and through God's prophets.

God is asking, whom do we consult when we are in crisis??
Is it wichcraft? Seers? Medicinemen? Friends? or God?

Remember the scripture say

Jeremiah 17:5
....Thus says the LORD: "Cursed is the man who trusts in man and makes flesh his strength, whose heart departs from the LORD.

King Ahaziah never had time to pray to God so as to know his fate, but instead he put his trust in idols and false prophets of Baal.

Thats the point we come to understand the importance of praying .
Prayer is an important weapon that the devil fears.

Its like an oil engine, it keeps you going.Now, when you dont pray its a big threat to you because you have no wall that protects you.

1.  In prayer you grow Spiritually and in in faith too.

2 Peter 3:18 ....but grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. To Him be the glory both now and forever. Amen.

You grow spiritually as you wage war in the spirituall realm as you keep growing.

2.  Prayer also fullfills Prophecy.

Brethren, am telling you, no matter who is Prophesying to you a Prophesy and you dont follow up that prophesy by praying for it to be fullfilled, it will be useless.

Proverbs 27:12
A prudent man foresees evil and hides himself; the simple pass on and are punished.

Example if one dreams of an accident coming but he doesnt pray to stop it, then it will come.

By praying over a prophesy you either fullfill it or make it to stop if its for evil.

Prayer gives a supernatural power to speak over things.
